But not of the Decemberists, and not just another bullshit YouTube celebrity/musician- Danielle is her name and she goes by “Danielle Ate the Sandwich” (she has an album, too). She’s got a lovely voice, some great lyrics, and some serious uke/guitar chops. Here’s a song I’m currently in love with: melancholy, cute, and utterly engrossing.

Found this video a little while back – it’s Colin Meloy playing a song entitled “Zoot,” which he previously claimed might appear on the forthcoming Decemberists album, Hazards of Love. …Well, looks like it didn’t make it. It really is fantastic, though.
